‘Goat Man’ bank robber pleads guilty

A Sacramento man pleaded guilty Thursday to robbing several banks throughout the region, including two in El Dorado County. John Raymond Porter, 43, the “Goat-Man Bandit,” pleaded guilty to serial bank robbery as part of a plea agreement with the Department of Justice. Bulldog brainiacs best Academic Decathlon rivals

Major milestone for Oak Ridge dance

OAK RIDGE’S DANCE TEAM Won a National Title banner during last week’s competition. The girls finished first with their lyrical piece, “Cosmic Love.” They also took second in varsity jazz competition with their routine choreographed to the song “Only Girl.” The banner marks the first national title won by the team.
