Does your baby have four legs, a furry face and an expressive tail?

If so, check out Pet Vets of Folsom — the one-stop shop for total pet care. On the medical side the office offers dental care, diagnosis, vaccinations and surgical care. On the fun side Pet Vets has a boutique, doggy daycare and boarding facility.

“The dogs play with other dogs and we take them out for potty walks,” said Pam Gilger.

Her husband Dr. Rod Gilger and friend Dr. Joe Gachowski own Pet Vets of Folsom. The office opened in 1992 and recently moved to a new, larger location, allowing the staff to expand their services even more.

Coming soon … self doggy wash, grooming, training and emergency care.

“It’s so much fun to see those little, cute faces all day long,” Pam said. “Everybody who works here is so compassionate and thoroughly loves what they do.”

Pet Vets employs five veterinarians who primarily treat cats and dogs. Most of the vets have more than 20 years experience and, Pam said, they collaborate well with each other and the newest vet on staff who brings the latest information in veterinary medicine.

Everything revolves around the client and animal, according to Pam. “We’ve always been about affordability and quality care.”

Pet Vets of Folsom is located at 321 Iron Point Road, Folsom. Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to noon Sunday. A vet is on site every day and hours will be expanded soon.
