Does a 10 year/million mile warranty on auto repair sound good to you?  It did to Village Life readers.

They voted Autotronics the “Best Auto Repair” shop. Rod and Serena Posner, the local residents and owners of Autotronics in Cameron Park, have consistently gone out of their way to give back to the community. Their efforts have not only earned them great respect and trust among their customers, but also among Village Life readers. “Thank you El Dorado Hills; we truly appreciate your vote of confidence,” said the Posners.

“We consider our clients part of our extended family and we appreciate the opportunity to provide a great automotive experience to people,” said Rick Pitzner, shop manager. “We are proud that our auto repair facility is the only AAA approved shop in Cameron Park and that we only employ ASE Certified Auto Technicians.”

“Our business is all about helping people,” Rod said. “We really want people to feel good about what we’re doing and also understand why something needs to be done.”

In addition to counseling his customers as to the varied tasks their vehicles are in need of, Rod goes the extra mile to make sure they are satisfied.

“That’s one of the reasons why we offer our customers the choice of a 10 year/million mile warranty for parts and repairs,” he said, “which is pretty much unheard of in the auto repair industry. We stand behind what we do and want people to feel good. If they do have a problem, we’re going to stand by them and take care of it.”

Autotronics will celebrate its 11th Anniversary in September.

In addition to the warranty, Rod said he also offers other services that set Autotronics apart from other auto shops. The business is opened all day Saturdays, offers loaner cars for customers who need to get around in the interim and has a shuttle to help customers who have busy work schedules and don’t have time to wait. Rod also offers first-time clients a free loaner car with any repair.

Beyond the daily duties of owning an automotive repair shop, Rod and Serena volunteer their time and resources to a number of local organizations, including the Oak Ridge High School Sports Boosters and the Ponderosa High School music and sports programs. The couple is deeply involved with issues affecting disadvantaged children and women suffering breast cancer, holding annual benefits while expecting nothing in return.

“We try to give back as much as we can,” Serena said. “Our business is all about helping people. We are currently collecting new or slightly used children’s shoes.” Every year the Posners travel to Mexico to deliver the shoes directly to disadvantaged children. “It’s very rewarding for both of us,” Serena said.

“We will be holding a woman’s car care clinic in October,” she continued. “With that we educate women about their vehicles, and all of the money raised goes to the El Dorado County Boys and Girls Club.”

Autotronics is located at 2544 Merrychase in Cameron Park. Call them at (530) 676-2200.
