Marshall opens EDH pediatric office with integrative focus

Marshall Medical Center has expanded pediatric care offerings to El Dorado Hills recently with the addition of Marshall Whole Child Health.

Nicole Shorrock MD has been providing pediatric care with an integrative/functional medicine focus at Marshall Pediatrics in Placerville for 10 years. Her new practice in El Dorado Hills more distinctly aligns with her focus of looking at the whole child in terms of lifestyle, diet, exercise, behavior and illness.

Functional medicine, also known as integrative medicine, seeks to understand the root causes of illness in addition to treatment of symptoms, so that lifestyle changes that can be helpful can be employed.

“I’m very excited to take this next step in my evolution as a physician,” said Dr. Shorrock.

Marshall Whole Child Health is located at Marshall Medical El Dorado Hills, 5137 Golden Foothill Parkway, Suite 120. Shorrock enjoys a very loyal following and parents travel far distances to bring their children to her. She cares for children from newborn to 18.
