Five Bruins sign to join college programs

SHINGLE SPRINGS — Five Ponderosa High athletes — three soccer, one swim, one spiker — recently signed their Letter of Intent forms in the school’s library to play at the college level.

From the pitch, Aubrey Wimmer and Bre DuHamel are a package deal as they’re both headed to Arizona Christian University, Connor Swartz takes his skills to Virginia Tech, swimmer Andy Cunningham will compete for Seattle University, and Lianna Sybeldon becomes a Husky for the University of Washington volleyball program.
