December events in Cameron Park

The big man in red spreads his ho-ho-holiday cheer in Cameron Park throughout the month.

Want Santa to visit your Cameron Park home, hand out candy canes and talk with the children about their Christmas wishes? Turns out the jolly fellow is available Dec. 10, 17,18,19 & 20. There may be limited space left so call the Cameron Park Community Services District now.

The annual Santa Parade hosted by the Fire Department is scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Dec. 14-16. (Rain date is the following weekend, Dec. 21-23.) The route will be posted on cameronpark.org.

Coffee, Tea, and Friends sponsored by Visiting Angels invites seniors and caregivers to a morning of fun, games and special speakers, while visiting with new and old friends.  Join the fun at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11. There will be a holiday party and games that day.

Looking for a place to hold your holiday event? The Cameron Park Community Events Center is available for your holiday party or beautiful winter wedding reception. The facility offers a 3.800-square-foot assembly hall equipped with a fully functional sound system, projection screen and other amenities. There is also a commercial kitchen. The CPCSD offers competitive rates and provides tables and chairs for any special occasion.  For smaller occasions or celebrations the center has a number of other rooms to best fit your needs. Anyone looking for a place to rent should give the Cameron Park Community Services District office a call at (530) 677-2231.

The CPCSD Winter/Spring Activity guide will come out in early December, check out all the classes offered in January through April.

Red, White and Jewels wine and jewelry show will be held Saturday, Feb. 2. The CPCSD is currently looking for vendors.

On Feb. 17 the CSD will co-sponsor It’s a Wedding Affair for brides-to-be. Meet the area’s most experienced wedding professionals, sample catering, desserts, photographers and much more.

All of these activities, plus regular activities and sport programs, are listed on cameronpark.org. For more information call (530) 677-2231.
