Kathy Fritschie, Diamond Springs “I’m going to Great Basin National Park in Nevada. My daughter is serving in AmeriCorps there. We’ll do some anthropology and geology. I’m also taking Brian Hayes’ raku class at Folsom Lake College.”
Kim Wood, Cameron Park “We’re going camping at Stinson Beach. But don’t tell anyone. I don’t want it to get crowded. We renting a ‘very rustic’ cabin there.”
Darrin Slojkowski, El Dorado Hills “I’ll be here (at Pondo) working with contractors on the modernization project. We’ll take a couple short family trips to the Bay Area and Lake Tahoe.”
Barbara Lee, Lotus “I’ll be watching grandchildren. We fill in for my son and his wife. We’ll all go fishing. Favorite spot? You mean the one that’s not secret? Well … how about Union Valley reservoir?”
Morgan Faulkner, Cameron Park “I’m going back to Sugar Loaf … fourth summer in a row. I love that place. It’s an arts camp at Sly Park. I hope to return as a counselor.”
