BREAST CANCER AWARENESS — Ponderosa High School volleyball athletes Samantha Rains and Alex Mettler pose with the rest of the school’s “Think Pink” team to promote breast cancer awareness during the month of October. Other team members pictured are, left to right, Allison Proud, Aubree Thayer, Samantha Teter and Emily Summers. Mettler lost her mother to breast cancer two months ago. In honor of her memory, teammates released a balloon following the Oct. 21 game with Oak Ridge.
