Varsity volleyball out of playoffs

Oak Ridge’s varsity boys volleyball squad fell to Jesuit in the Sac-Joaquin Division 1 semifinal match on May 17. The Trojans challenged the Marauders in four games, winning the first, 25-22, but falling in close match-ups there after — 23-25, 22-25, 21-25. Community celebrates Little League

EL DORADO HILLS Town Center hosted Little League Day Saturday and the community came out in force to support young players. More than 800 kids from 66 Little League teams participated in the event, which included a parade and a visit from Dinger, the Sacramento RiverCats mascot. Six Trojans, two Bruins win gold at Delta River League track meet

OAK RIDGE HIGH SCHOOL sophomore Zach Youngberg and junior Shannon Trumbull celebrate after winning their hurdle races at the Delta River League Championships on May 12. Shannon won the 100-meter high hurdles and 300-meter low hurdle races. She also ran the secondnd leg of the varsity girls 4 x 100 relay, which placed second, and she placed sixth in the 100-meter dash. Eight-run inning by Oak Ridge buries Lady Bruins
