Trojans fall in 3

A quick start in the third set appeared to favor Oak Ridge in Thursday’s Sierra Foothill League volleyball home match against top ranked Granite Bay. The Lady Trojans jumped out 4-0 behind the serving of junior outside hitter Olivia Reid. With kills from Hailey Maniglia and Kimmy Tuttle, Oak Ridge led 7-3 before the Grizzlies rallied to […]

Oak Ridge too much for Nevada Union

Safe guess to say Oak Ridge thinks it’s the latter after the Thunder rolled past the Trojans 59-21 in Sierra Foothill League action. Rocklin, which celebrated its homecoming, owned field positioning all evening. Thunder quarterback […]

Oak Ridge sticks it to T’Wolves

Forget trick plays. Oak Ridge’s first Sierra Foothill League victory swung on a trick-question play, an instance that defied logic in its 38-20 victory over Woodcreek Friday night. The host Trojans nursed a 10-7 lead and faced a fourth-and-9 at the Timberwolves’ 31. Instead of letting quarterback Ian Book determine the drive with his rollout […]
