Coco’s campaign promises

EDITOR:
Are we headed toward debt reduction with Dale Coco?

I do recall the campaign promises of Mr. Dale Coco. One of those was to cut the agency’s $370 million debt. Does that sound like a large amount for a county of our size? Mr. Coco stated it was far out-of-line and reported he had “studied local and California water issues for over 2 ½ years.” This is before he ran for his EID board seat.

I won’t go into detail with numbers, but I will say that in his seven months on the EID board, we have not seen him lead any charge to do budget-trimming. In fact, if there is any effort at budget cutting, he votes “no,” then votes “yes” with the “good old boys” to increase rates of the residents of our county.

Wrong way to go, Mr. Coco.
