El Dorado Hills should take back its water

EDITOR:

My water and sewer bill has doubled to over $500 per 2-month period through the summer and to over $300 per 2-month period this fall from an average $250 for the same periods in summer and $130-ish in winter the past several years.

My house is 1,970 square foot single residence home built in the mid ’60s that has two seniors who have lived here since the early eighties.

Your bills are more than my PG & E bill and is a hardship on seniors.

Why do you not give seniors the same Ag rates that you now are proposing?

My water is still rust colored as it was in 1982 when the rates where $35 for the same period and the service has not improved.

Please do not vote on the proposed rate increase until an unbiased citizen group can review your plans and provide full disclosure.

I vote that EI Dorado Hills take back its water rights to Folsom Lake and stop funding West Slope development by having to pay for the water being pumped up the hill as it has for the past 30 years.
