An honest question.... which gated communities in EDH are expanding? I understand that Serrano is still building homes, but have the HOA rules changed? Buyers agree to the rules when they purchase the property, and the rules are disclosed at that time.

We've lived in a non gated community in EDH for over 16 years, and honestly, I think some simple HOA rules would have benefited our neighborhood. Mostly regarding noise in the late evenings, and cars parked bumper to bumper in front of homes on our very narrow roads. I understand that the choice of house color, and plantings are very individual issues, but if the HOA rules are disclosed prior to to the purchase, and agreed to, it seems that odd to argue the point later. It does seem petty to limit neighbors' ability to post notices regarding lost pets.

There is a good way to change course in the EDH area, first don't vote for Supervisor Knight or Nutting. Both are heavily developer influenced and their votes and campaign contributions prove who they work for and it isn't the resident. These over-expanding gated communities are a general nuisance. There are plenty of them now for the next century. There is an all out fight in the EDH and West County area and South County area where some of the last old ranches are to preserve what little open space and zoning to keep it that way is left. The area North of Green Valley Road, East up Green Valley Road and out Salmon Falls to the bridge and out Latrobe Road to the county line are all areas that need the zoning to be protected and no thanks to Mr. Knight the area was attacked by developers and he voted for many small-parcel rezones that favored the developers and ignored hundreds of neightbors who had to band together to try to stop it with very negative results. We haven't forgotten Mr. Knight around here and will continue our efforts to protect what little is left and not vote Knight or his friend Nutting back in. There is too much at stake and the very safety of our roads for our kids and loved ones and our quality of life for our families have to be protected from unsafe developers throwing hundreds if not thousands of vehicles on roads like Salmon Falls where several schools are located near, or Green Valley Road which is becoming known as a very dangerous road and a high number of accidents are seen on commuter mornings and afternoons. Join me and many others in restoring some sanity and safety and vote no on Knight and Nutting.
