In fact, at the end of the meeting a Little League board member asked Skeel a poignant question: “Do you have any intentions of considering our requests?” He assured us that he did and we parted ways.”

You got affirmative answers about the need for safety nets on two ball fields and that bothered you? Was he supposed to recount the season for the Rockies to convince you of his interest? Or was he just staring off into space oblivious of his whereabouts? You made him sound damn near catatonic. You spent two hours grillin’ the bloke? You telling us he wasn’t the slightest bit cordial?

Upon searching your name in Village Life, I found only one entry dated from July 2011 (Mr. Skeel was placed on leave June 20th). Perhaps, Mr. Skeel’s lack of interest was due to his foretelling what was to come? Nevertheless, I found your following commentary interesting:

“It appears that the drop in revenue has had little impact on board member’s benefits. As stated, CSD charges exorbitant fees from various recreational organizations for the use of public land and resources. It is the intent of these organizations that their investment provides their organizations with the ability to broaden interest within the community. By failing to provide these organizations with the proper resources, the CSD Board should be held accountable for breach of its ethical and/or fiduciary duty to the community.”
