Lining pockets of special interests ?
Please help us by giving some facts, who are the special interests ?
Spending millions on water and wastewater plants is frustrating, but the facilities were mandated by State regulators at the threat of huge fines. 10 years ago the Board ignored mandates, resulting in tens of thousands in fines. Perhaps you wish to repeat those mistakes and incur more fines or expensive suits from CalSPA.
Sacramento's rates are about to triple as a result of the same mandates that EID faced years ago. No more will Greg Prada be able to complain that EID rates are higher than Folsom or Sacramento. Soon, when they are mandated to treat to the same level that EID has been doing for years their rates will actually be much higher. What will you complain about then Greg ?
Till then, enjoy it while your toilets still flush. Continue demanding more cost cuts and soon you will have no working facilities for them to dump to.
CalSPA would love that, a reason to jump back in and sue EID all over again, wasting more of your rate dollars.
