Prop 30 promises to pay the money the state already owes school districts from when money owed the school districts was deferred and promised to be paid later. Do I have this right? If Prop 30 passes the state promises to pay the money they already promised to pay?

So, without raising taxes on ourselves, the state won’t pay the money they promised to pay before they said they needed to raise taxes to pay it?

(BTW, I agree that our local districts and school boards have done a great job keeping our students from feeling the brunt of the budget cuts – so far).
