Wasted water

EDITOR:

During the month of July, New York Creek that flows in my yard has been dry. On at least five occasions, there has been a flow of clear water in the creek for several hours. This amounts to hundreds if not thousands of gallons of wasted water.

I have contacted EID about this and received less than satisfactory answers — almost nonchalant. Among the many people who have lost lawns and plants to the drought, I am concerned about wasted water. I have driven up the hill from the duck ponds about 9 a.m. seeing wet streets, and gutters all the way to Ridgeview. If EID were to make a dawn patrol most likely the source of this wasted water might be located.
