What do we know about Alan Day?

By October 18, 2011

EDITOR:

I am confused by the recent attacks against EID and more importantly against Harry Norris. My wife and I have been very active in this community for over 25 years. Harry Norris was one of the first individuals I met when I moved here. His honesty and work ethic has been beyond reproach. He has also been incredibly active in our community for as long as I have known him and a he’s man you could count on to do the right thing for our community.

I am therefore a bit confused by Alan Day’s mud-slinging charges and the outrageous figures he is tossing around. In my 25 years of community service with the Chamber of Commerce, APAC, El Dorado Hills Community Services District and work with El Dorado County I have never even met this man. It is easy to make up untruths about a candidate to try to win an election, but where did Alan Day and his supporters come up with his “facts”?

I would like to ask him these questions but I understand Mr. Day has declined debate invitations from the League of Women Voters, El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce and the El Dorado County Taxpayers Association. Alan Day is either afraid the truth may get out about his outrageous claims or he just doesn’t understand the issues. Either way, he will not be getting our vote and should not represent us on the EID board.

Too bad, because as you all now know, Alan Day defeated Harry Norris by an overwhelming margin.
