Spring Fling is right around the corner
Our annual party for May 11 will be called Spring Fling. It’s a great time of the year to have a spring party. Spring Fling will be sponsored by the El Dorado Hills Senior Support Council and the Senior Nutrition lunch program. This party will be held in the EDHCSD gym on Harvard Way. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. with entertainment, featuring the Buckboard Bunch, starting at 11. A delicious ham lunch is served at noon. Suggested donation for lunch is $3 for seniors age 60 and older, and all others $5. Our local El Dorado Hills Fire Department will serve lunch and they always help with cleaning up. We thank them very much. After lunch a drawing will be held and many nice prizes will be given away. Don’t miss out … make your reservation now by calling the Senior Center at (916) 358.3575.

Senior Nutrition lunches
Delicious and nutritious lunches are served weekdays at noon, at the El Dorado Hills Senior Center, 990 Lassen Lane. For seniors 60 and older the suggested donation is $3, all others $5. This is a great place to have lunch, meet new people and visit with friends.

A special concert
On Friday, May 25, we are pleased to host the talented band Singin’4 Supper at 1 p.m. These special guests performed at the center last year and were enjoyed by all. If you can’t join us for lunch, come after lunch for the concert. You’ll be glad you did!

Board of Supervisors candidate forum
Join us on Friday, May 4, at 10 a.m. as we host the supervisor candidates for Districts 1 and 2; both cover El Dorado Hills. This event is hosted by the Senior Support Council from the Senior Center. Seniors will have the opportunity to submit questions that are appropriate for all candidates. We hope you can join us.

May activities
In the next few days you should be receiving your summer copy of the Activity Guide from the CSD (Parks and Recreation) in your mailbox. The Senior Center has so many great programs, and a really big variety. I hope you can join us at the Senior Center soon. Lunch is served daily at noon, and most programs are scheduled right before, or just after lunch. In May we are excited to offer: A concert by the Sensational Singing Seniors on May 1; the above mentioned Board of Supervisors candidates forum; a History of Astronomy lecture; our brand new monthly Current Events discussion group; Ukulele Lessons; The New View of Aging lecture; a slide show from the Korean War; Drawing and Painting classes; and a Fall Prevention presentation.

These special programs are in addition to the regularly scheduled weekly and monthly programs which happen year-round. Call the Senior Center for dates and details and registration information at (916) 358.3575.
