Big Christmas party
The big party will be held on Friday, Dec. 10, and sponsored by the El Dorado Hills Senior Support Council, the El Dorado Hills Community Services District, the Rotary Club of El Dorado Hills and the county’s Senior Nutrition lunch program. It will be held at the CSD Gym, 1021 Harvard Way. Call soon for reservations at (916) 358-3575; we need your reservations by Dec. 1, please. Doors open at 10:30 a.m., entertainment by the famous Oak Ridge High School Jazz Band begins at 11 a.m., with lunch served at noon. The suggested donation for lunch is $3 for seniors age 60 and older and $5 for others. El Dorado Hills Rotary Club is once again providing delicious banana splits — our annual tradition! The wonderful El Dorado Hills Fire Department will be on hand to help serve our special lunch.
You probably have noticed the beautiful lights and angel on the tree outside the Senior Center. It is well worth driving by after dark! A big thank you goes to the El Dorado Hills Fire Department for providing the decorations and doing all the hanging of the lights. Our local fire department does so much to support our Senior Center programs. We truly are thankful!
Fun Bingo is played every Monday and Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at the Senior Center on Lassen Lane. Each player must buy two cards at $1.50 each ($3). Additional Bingo cards are available for purchase. The prize for each Bingo is a $5 gift card from our local Raley’s or Nugget stores. Join us for some Bingo fun!
Delicious senior nutritional lunches are served weekdays at noon, except holidays, at the El Dorado Hills Senior Center, 990 Lassen Lane. For seniors 60 and older the suggested donation is $3; all others $5. The lunches are tasty and provide a balanced meal, plus an opportunity for seniors to socialize and make new friends. HO HO HO! The week of Christmas will feature fun activities and music before and after lunch.
