Spring Fling was a great party
The party was a lot of fun with more than 200 attending. Lots of good food from the Senior Nutritional Lunch program with the help of the E Dorado Hills local firemen who served and cleaned up. Seniors enjoyed great entertainment, with a good band who kept the partygoers dancing. Also, many great prizes were given away to happy winners. We want to thank our local businesses who generously donated door prizes: Raley’s; Safeway; Coldstone Creamery, El Dorado Hills 76; Big O Tires; The Purple Place; Rockin’ Frog Yogurt; and Subway in the Safeway center. This party was sponsored by the El Dorado Hills Senior Support Council who always do such a great job.

Sixth anniversary of the Senior Center
It’s hard to believe that the El Dorado Hills Senior Center has been up and running for six years. This month we are celebrating our sixth anniversary. If you are a senior (you only have to be fabulous 50 to participate in programs!) we invite you to join us at the Senior Center for one of our many great programs. Don’t let our seventh anniversary roll around without checking us out!

Senior Nutrition lunches
Delicious and nutritious lunches are served weekdays at noon, at the El Dorado Hills Senior Center, 990 Lassen Lane. For seniors 60 and older the suggested donation is $3, all others $5. This is a great place to have lunch, meet new people and visit with friends.

June Senior Center activities
In the next couple of weeks, you should receive your quarterly ‘Senior Spotlight’ newsletter from the Senior Center. This is only mailed to seniors who have requested to be on our mailing list. If you would like to receive a copy call the Senior Center.  We are kicking off the summer season with many great programs in June! Specialty classes such as: Get to Know Your Digital Camera; Add People to Your Paintings (Portraiture); Watercolor Painting; Jewelry Making; and Learn to Make Yummy Potstickers are scheduled. We will also have guest speakers on topics such as: a 3-week series including Options for Seniors Facing Foreclosure, Straight Talk About Reverse Mortgages, Scams, ID Theft and Annuities; Free Lunch and Learn: Live Strong to 100; and Take Charge of Your Life! with special guest speaker Bob Billingsley. These programs are in addition to our multitude of weekly and monthly program offerings. We have something for everyone! Call the Senior Center for dates and details and registration information at (916) 358-3575.
