Valentine’s party
Another reminder to make your reservations for the annual Valentine Party coming soon! And that will be on Friday, Feb. 11, sponsored by the EDH Senior Support Council, EDHCSD and the county’s Senior Nutrition Lunch program. It will be held at the CSD gym, 1021 Harvard Way. For reservations call the Senior Center at (916) 358-3575. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. Entertainment will be provided by the EDH Senior Fun Time Band, beginning at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon. The suggested donation for lunch is $3 for seniors, age 60 and older, and $5 for all others. The El Dorado Hills Fire Department will help serve and clean up. Door prizes will be given to lucky winners.

Fun Bingo is played every Monday and Thursday at 12:30 p.m at the Senior Center on Lassen Lane. Each player must buy two cards at $1.50 each ($3). Additional Bingo cards are available for purchase. The prize for each Bingo is a $5 gift card from our local Raley’s or Nugget stores. Join us for some Bingo fun!

Musicians needed
If you are a senior who plays the saxophone, trombone, clarinet, or keyboard contact Al Kolthoff, Senior Fun Time Band leader, at (916) 933-3848. A sound mixer is also needed for the band. The all-volunteer band rehearses on Thursday and Friday afternoons at the Senior Center in addition to playing a monthly concert for the seniors. Join them for lots of fun and music!

Senior lunch
Delicious senior nutritional lunches are served weekdays at noon, except holidays, at the El Dorado Hills Senior Center, 990 Lassen Lane. For seniors 60 and older the suggested donation is $3, all others $5.  The lunches are tasty and provide a balanced meal, plus an opportunity for seniors to socialize and make new friends. Senior Center activities are scheduled daily before and after lunch.

Coming in February
Join you friends and neighbors at the Senior Center in El Dorado Hills and participate in the multitude of programs offered. In February we’ll have: Free one-on-one computer lessons; a new evening Caregiver Support Group; AARP Tax Assistance; Three Seconds to Better Health … Breathing 101 (Tai Chi based); Getting to know your Digital Camera; Discover Your Inner Artist … Mixed Media Art; Watercolors; an Acrylic and Oil Painting Workshop; Bead-dazzle It! (jewelry making); Ukulele Lessons; Free Lunch and Learn … Nutrition and Exercise Habits; Chocolate Truffles Workshop … and more. Call the Senior Center at (916) 358-3575 to hold your spot.
