Valentine’s party

Thank you for coming to our annual Valentine’s Day party on Feb. 11. We had a great time with more than 210 attending. Thanks to our local fire department; they always do a great job in serving and cleaning up, even on days where in the morning they are all out fighting fires! Former El Dorado Hills Fire Chief Brian Veerkamp and his wife Lori made 260 cupcakes for our dessert! We thank you both. This event was sponsored by the El Dorado Hills Community Services District, the Senior Support Council and the Senior Nutrition Program of Placerville. Many prizes were given away and everyone had a great time. Our next party will be a Cinco de Mayo celebration on Friday, May 6.

Fun Bingo

Bingo is played every Monday and Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at the Senior Center at 990 Lassen Lane. Each player must buy two cards at $1.50 each ($3). Additional Bingo cards are available for purchase. The prize for each Bingo is a $5 gift card from our local Raley’s or Nugget stores.

Senior lunches

Delicious senior nutritional lunches are served weekdays at noon, except holidays, at the El Dorado Hills Senior Center. For seniors 60 and older the suggested donation is $3; all others $5. The lunches are tasty and provide a balanced meal, plus an opportunity for seniors to socialize and make new friends. Senior Center activities are scheduled daily before and after lunch.
