Christmas party
Christmas will be here before you know it. Our annual Christmas party will be held on Friday, Dec. 7, at the El Dorado Hills Community Services District gym on Harvard Way. It is sponsored by the El Dorado Hills Senior Support Council, the EDHCSD and the Senior Nutrition Lunch program. Doors open at 10:30 a.m., entertainment starts at 11 and lunch will be served at noon. Suggested donation for lunch is $3 for seniors age 60 and older and all others $5. Our El Dorado Hills firefighters will be there to serve and clean up and we thank them very much. Good news! At the party we are serving banana splits again, thanks to Rotary Club of El Dorado Hills members who provide and serve the delicious ice cream treats. The Oak Ridge High School dance team, jazz band and choir are performing for us. Call the Senior Center today to make your reservations for the great day at (916) 358-3575.

Senior Nutrition lunches
Delicious and nutritious lunches are served weekdays at noon, at the El Dorado Hills Senior Center, 990 Lassen Lane. For seniors 60 and older the suggested donation is $3, all others $5. This is a great place to have lunch, meet new people and visit with friends.

Sensational Singing Seniors
Join us at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, for the return of the Sensational Singing Seniors. This holiday-themed concert, A Holiday Happening!, will be a special treat. These talented seniors rehearse at the Placerville Senior Center and perform throughout the county.

Coming in December
We have a very interesting guest speaker coming to the Senior Center at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11. Pete White, a local antique toy dealer, will show you part of his collection and talk about the history of toy companies such as Lionel and Daisy. Call the Senior Center to hold your spot at (916) 358-3575.

Holiday closures
The Senior Center will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 24 & 25 and Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013.

November birthdays
Our November ‘babies’ were: John Fails, Yvonne Griffin, Hank Mathews, Jan Bleakley, Judy Bakke, Bill Larson and Matthew Antinovich. Hope you all had a wonderful birthday!
