Senior News: February 2013
With more than 200 attending, it was the best Valentine party ever! Thank you for coming. I am sure all of you had a great time. This event was sponsored by El Dorado Hills Community Services District, the Senior Council and the Senior Nutrition program of Placerville. Lunch was served at noon and was delicious. Thanks to our local fire department and staff for helping serve and cleaning up. The Senior Fun Time Band was great and many dancers were out on the dance floor and it was fun watching. After lunch, many great prizes were given away to the winners. We would like to thank the following local businesses/groups for their generous donations of door prizes: Raley’s, Safeway, Subway, Barber Jon’s, The Purple Place, Regal Theater, Verbena Florist, Cascada Restaurant, the Senior Center’s Senior Council and the Four Seasons Civic League. Everyone who came went home happy. Mark your calendar for Friday, May 3, when we will have our next event, Spring Fling, at the CSD gym.
Senior Nutrition lunches
Delicious and nutritious lunches are served weekdays at noon, at the El Dorado Hills Senior Center, 990 Lassen Lane. For seniors 60 and older the suggested donation is $3, all others $5. This is a great place to have lunch, meet new people and visit with friends.
