Be my Valentine party
Make your reservations soon, as the party will be here before you know it. The date is Friday, Feb. 14, and the party will be held in the El Dorado Hills Community Services District gym on Harvard Way. The party is sponsored by the El Dorado Hills Senior Council, the CSD and the El Dorado County Senior Nutrition Lunch program. The doors open at 10:30 a.m., entertainment by the Senior Center’s own Senior Fun Time Band begins at 11 a.m. and lunch is served at noon by our local EL Dorado Hills Fire Department. Suggested donation for lunch is $3 for seniors age 60 and older, and all others $5.

We would also like to thank our local fire department for helping and cleaning up. It is much appreciated. After lunch a drawing will be held and many door prizes will be given away. For reservations call the Senior Center at (916) 358-3575. Seating is limited!

An African-American Traveling History Museum
In celebration of Black History Month, the Senior Center is hosting local resident Esther Roman, a collector of African-American memorabilia. You won’t want to miss this amazing collection and hear how the items play a significant role in today’s culture. Join us for a journey back through history on Friday, Feb. 21, at 1 p.m. Call the Senior Center to hold your spot in this unique new program offering.

Senior Nutrition lunches
Delicious and nutritious lunches are served weekdays at noon, at the El Dorado Hills Senior Center, 990 Lassen Lane. For seniors 60 and older the suggested donation is $3, all others $5. This is a great place to have lunch, meet new people and visit with friends. Reservations are not necessary.

Indian Cooking Class, Feb. 22 through March 15; Ukulele and Guitar Lessons begin Feb. 10 & 6, respectively; Oil Painting, Feb. 4-25; Guest Speaker: Nutrition in the News, Feb. 11; AARP Smart Driver Course, Feb. 18 & 25; Got Potstickers, Feb. 26; and Close-up/Macro Digital Photography, Feb. 22. Call the Senior Center for registration information at (916) 358-3575.

January birthdays
Alane Vinson, Elaine Altavilla, Carolyn Phipps, Winifred Saastad, Don Weick, Joyce Kiser, Linda Mercier, Jack Klauschie, Mary Knippell, Sara Birgbauer, Mary Buschman, and Christa Bower all celebrated birthdays in January. Happy Birthday all!
