36 Handles Pub & Eatery celebrates St. Patrick’s Day

On Friday, March 15, The Black Eyed Dempsey’s come to 36 Handles with their rebel Irish sound at 8:30 p.m. Dine on pub fare and kick up your heels to this top, well-know band.  On Saturday, March 16, 36 Handles will celebrate the official “Ireland St. Patrick’s Day” with a bagpipe performance at 4 p.m., food and drink specials throughout the day and live music from 8 p.m. to midnight. The evening heats up even more with a visit from the Jameson/Guinness girls.

On Sunday, March 17, the celebration explodes with a large tented area in front of the pub. The event begins at 7 a.m. with specialty drinks and, of course, plenty of Guinness. Attendees may buy 20-ounce drinks for $6 or can buy 10 drink tickets to receive one free drink. The outside tent area also will have a buffet, a Red Bull bar to quench the thirsty, music and more. Partygoers can enjoy shepherd’s pie, corned beef and cabbage and a myriad of other choices for $10 a plate. Children’s plates are just $5. The family friendly from noon to 3 p.m. includes face painting, cotton candy and children’s activities.

36 Handles is located in Montano Center at 1010 White Rock Road in El Dorado Hills. It offers hard to find craft beers, a fine selection of 36 beers on tap and several more bottled beers hand-picked from quality breweries throughout the United States and Europe. The menu created offers exciting and delicious selections meant to be shared, paired and enjoyed with friends and family.

Regular entertainment at 36 Handles includes Open Mic Night from 7:30 to 11 p.m. on Wednesdays, Trivia Night at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and live music from 8 p.m. to midnight every Saturday.

This is the third restaurant owned by local restaurateur Richard Righton, the two other being Bidwell Street Bistro in Folsom and Relish Burger bar located in El Dorado Hills.
