A ‘Mod’ affair at the California Automobile Museum

SACRAMENTO — Come to the California Automobile Museum dressed in your 1960s Mod attire for a swell time and good company from 6 to 9 p.m. in Friday, Sept. 21.

Guests will enjoy a sneak preview of the new exhibit 1968 and some delicious appetizers and refreshments. This is a 1960s mod style party tribute to cars of 1968 and 60s Mod fashion.

This 1960s Mod Preview Party will give visitors a chance to experience a new exhibit and a fun night at the Museum. Cars and fashion played a large role in the 1960s and were a big part of our unique American history. Come and help us bring 60s trends back again for the special exhibit preview.

The California Automobile Museum is showcasing information and photos of cars of the era, automotive magazines, popular culture of the times, and a timeline of key 1968 events, many of which occurred in the Golden State. The 1960s Mod Preview Party is a special event, among many others, that will celebrate the music of the 1960s, clothing styles, auto racing, automotive advertisements and toy cars.

Guests are encouraged to dress in their 1960s Mod best. This is an excellent event for all crowds. Tickets are just $8 general admission, $4 students, and $1 off for seniors and AAA members; museum members are free.
