Art for a cause: Collaboration to benefit art, charity and real estate

Realtor Susanne Wolter with partner Jeff Kaut of RE/MAX Gold has joined with United Way’s Women In Philanthropy Group and renowned artist Gayle Rappaport-Weiland to host a free public event April 16 & 17, turning an upscale property for sale into an art gallery for two days where guests are welcome to view and purchase more than 50 pieces of Rappaport-Weiland’s fine art collection.

A donation of 25 percent of all art sales will go to the United Way’s Women In Philanthropy group that focuses on raising funds for local foster youth programs. For more information visit www.yourlocalunitedway.org/wip. Artist-teacher Rappaport will be demonstrating live during the event.  Fine art, fine wine, music, hors d’oeurves and an exquisite home will make this an event you will not want to miss. Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 for a chance to win gifts and prizes.

“What I find so astonishing is that a Realtor identified the unique quality of the home, found the passions of the sellers, arts and charity, and was able to create an event while giving back to a worthy cause,” said Rappaport-Weiland. “I’m thrilled to have my art be a part of such an amazing event.”

Rappaport-Weiland has more than 30 years professional experience working in the arts. She sits on the board of California Contemporary Arts of Sacramento, is a frequent on air spokesperson and past juror of KVIE Art Auction. You can listen to her on radio or visit her at the Crocker Art Museum where she teaches and mentors students. Her work has been filmed by HGTV and recently caught the eye of a national retailer for licensing. For more information visit www.grappaport.com

“Creating a platform where your home can shine bright and have the right buyers stand-up and take notice is my focus,” said Wolter. “Combine this focus with bringing the community some flavor and giving back to charity is my passion.”

Wolter has received several awards for her production but it’s her fresh and unique marketing that has people stop and take notice. She has been interviewed for her creative marketing by Terry Knight KFBK, KCRA TV, The Sacramento Bee and other news outlets. Her partnership with highly accomplished Jeff Kaut, a 25-year real estate professional with deep roots in the community, has created a driven duo that combines experience, dedication, fresh ideas and passion committed to their clients and the community.

Sellers and designers Cynthia and Cleon Wellington said, “Art and design are passions of ours and it’s the reason we picked this private lot, built the art studio, placed windows to capture natural light and designed the house to showcase artwork. We are most proud to be able to give back and highlight the United Way’s Women In Philanthropy that focuses on local foster youth, while we sell our home.”
