Artist Dodrill featured on Folsom artwalk

“Solitude” by Marjorie Dodrill

El Dorado County artist Marjorie Dodrill will be the featured artist at American Visions Art Gallery July 12, during the Saturday night Sutter Street Artwalk with businesses open for the evening.

The gallery is in the heart of historic Folsom at 705 Sutter St. Meet the artist from 5 to 8 p.m.

Dodrill does oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings in landscapes, seascapes and large detailed single flowers. Her work projects a sense of calm and peacefulness. The translucency of filtered light through a flower petal and sun shining through an approaching wave motives her artwork. She has been painting all her adult life and turned professional 14 years ago. Her paintings are juried into national art competitions and she does commissions for clients.

Her work can be viewed at marjoriedodrill.com.
