Big Idea Theatre’s 2011 Season continues on Thursday, May 19, with the opening of David Rabe’s “Hurlyburly,” a play fueled by massive amounts of drugs and several libido-driven Hollywood wannabes stumbling through life in a frenetic search for meaning.

Katie Chapman directs this show. The cast features BIT Company actors Kirk Blackinton, Justin Lee Chapman and Beth Edwards. Big Idea also welcomes cast newcomers Dan Featherstone and Rachel Lanyi and welcomes back Alexandra Ralph Evans, who played Stella in our production of “A Streetcar Named Desire,” and Rick Eldredge, who recently appeared in our 2011 season opener “Compleat Female Stage Beauty.”

Performances of “Hurlyburly” are at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 19 through June 10, at Big Idea Theatre, 1616 Del Paso Blvd., Sacramento. Tickets are $10-$15. For more information call (916) 960-3036 or visit bigideatheatre.com
