Free outdoor music may be a summer phenomenon, but this Sunday brings the opportunity to pack a picnic and enjoy live jazz rain or shine in Nevada City at the InConcert Sierra benefit, Jazz off the Pond. Catch classic rock from Then Again, playing songs by Joni Mitchell, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Carole King and more. Then hear traditional jazz from the Ken Hardin Trio (pictured). The event runs from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the Alpha Building, 210 Broad St., in Nevada City. Admission is free, for more information visit inconcertsierra.org.
