Crack crab with Rotarians
Would you like to help a young person gain confidence and learn leadership skills? How about ensuring children all over the world are vaccinated to prevent polio?
All this can be accomplished with a few tools: a ticket, a bib and your dancing shoes.
The Rotary Club of El Dorado Hill presents its 21at annual Crab Feed and Dance, featuring a live jazz band performance, DJ music and, of course, a delicious meal — fresh garden green salad, French baguettes, pasta with red plum tomato basil sauce and iced Dungeness crab, plus dessert (for a few bucks more).
Funds raised at the crab feed go toward Rotary projects here at home and around the world. The Rotary Club of El Dorado Hills has generously contributed to community project such as the Deputy Jeff Mitchell Field, the EDHCSD Teen Center and Veterans Memorial Park (almost ready to break ground!). Internationally, the club has contributed to Rotary’s End Polio Now Campaign and ShelterBox. The club also assisted in securing $500,000 worth of used dental equipment sent to Mexican clinics that serve underprivileged residents and sent school supplies to a South American school.
The Rotary Crab Feed begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, at the El Dorado Hills Community Services District gym, 1021 Harvard Way. Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased at El Dorado Hills Fire Station 85 (Wilson Way/EDH Boulevard), the EDHCSD office and several El Dorado Hills Town Center locations — Face in a Book, Mechanics Bank, the California Welcome Center. Guests can also purchase tickets at the door. For more information and to purchase tickets online visit edhcrabfeed.org.
