Sac fine arts center gets bold

"Shadows of Blue" by Phil Saxon, 2010 Createx Color Award

The Sacramento Fine Arts Center will host Bold Expressions, Northern California Arts 56th annual international open-juried art exhibition, Oct. 4-29.

The judge this year is Margot Shulzke PSA, an internationally known artist and teacher.
A special Second Saturday Reception will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 8. The closing reception and awards presentation will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Oct. 29.

Sacramento Fine Arts Center is located at 5330B Gibbons Drive in Carmichael. Hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays.
