Fine arts center puts the ‘Focus on Fiber’

The first fiber arts show, Focus on Fiber, runs June 5-23 at Sacramento Fine Arts Center

The local Fiber Arts group presents an open show including basketry, crochet, dyeing, fabric, felting, hooking, knitting, knotting, lace making, painting or printing on fabric, quilting, sewing, spinning, stitching, tapestry, thread, weaving, yarn and more.

The Sacramento Fine Arts Center is located at 5330 B Gibbons Drive in Carmichael. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. A special Second Saturday reception will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on June 9. A special Sunday opening from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. will take place June 10.
