Folsom Arts Association hosts watercolorist

"Times Square, New York" by Alvaro Castagnet won first place at the Signature Watercolor Exhibition in New York.

Internationally acclaimed watercolor artist and instructor Alvaro Castagnet from Uruguay, South America, will be presenting a workshop sponsored by the Folsom Arts Association.

The workshop will be at the Folsom Hampton Inn, 155 Placerville Road in Folsom, March 26 to 30.

The public is invited to a reception for Castagnet on Thursday, March 29, from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Castagnet, who recently won the prestigious first place award at the Signature Watercolor Exhibition in New York, will be donating a painting for auction. Proceeds from the auction will go to the Guardian Scholars Program at California State University, Sacramento.
