Folsom High hosts huge band comp Saturday
This year’s Folsom Fall Festival marching band festival will be held Saturday, Nov. 6 at Folsom High School’s Prairie City Stadium. The competition will feature 19 marching bands from Northern California and Nevada scheduled to compete in four divisions.
Preliminary competition begins at 11:30 a.m. at Prairie City Stadium on the Folsom High School campus, followed by the Finals competition at 6:30 pm. The award-winning Folsom High School Marching Band and Color Guard, recently named Best Marching Band by “Best of Sacramento” magazine, will perform in the stadium at 4:30 p.m.
The event is open to the public and thousands are expected to attend. General admission is $12. Seniors and students are $7. Ages 4 and under are free.
