Folsom LIVE! features double-platinum artist, grammy winners
FOLSOM — Eddie Money, who catapulted to double-platinum status for Top 40 hits like “Baby Hold On,” “Two Tickets to Paradise” and “Take Me Home Tonight,” will rock the crowds as Friday’s headliner at the eighth annual Folsom LIVE! Music Festival Sept. 23-24.
Pat Benatar, previously scheduled to appear on Friday, was forced to cancel due to an injury suffered by her guitarist husband, Neil Giraldo.
Folsom LIVE! features two evenings of entertainment on outdoor stages playing host to 30 bands, and includes food and beverages hosted by local restaurateurs and businesses. It takes place on Folsom’s Historic Sutter Street, starting at 5 p.m.
This year’s benefit event is presented by the Folsom Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Hope Productions Foundation.
In addition to Money, some of music’s most recognized entertainers will be featured, including three-time Grammy Award-winning rock band Los Lobos; country superstar Ronnie Milsap; bluesy Lydia Pense & Cold Blood; ’80s cover band Tainted Love and country artists Whiskey Dawn.
Concert-goers can take advantage of a free ride on Regional Transit with a Folsom LIVE! ticket, and RT has extended service until 11 p.m. both nights for trains out of Folsom.
Folsom LIVE! has grown to near capacity over the years. Organizers recommend purchasing tickets in advance. Advance ticket prices are $37.50 (one-day), $65 (two-day), $120 (one-day Party Pack) and $199 (two-day Ultimate Festival Pack).
