El Dorado Musical Theatre’s premiere tour company, High Voltage, will give only two cabaret-style performances of “Holiday Celebration” Dec. 17 and 18 at 7 p.m. at Oak Hills Church in Folsom.

The show will include a plethora of song and dance numbers, including Christmas classics like “Silent Night,” “The Christmas Song” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” and nods to Hanukkah and Kwanzaa with “African Gloria” and “Hava Nagila.”

“This will be a celebration of everything holiday,” choreographer and EDMT founder Debbie Wilson said of the show. “Regardless of what you celebrate, it’s great to be reminded that this is a season of joy.”

Additional highlights will include an acapella “23 Days of Christmas” and a special tap battle interpretation of parts from the “Nutcracker Suite.”

Vocal direction will come from Elly Award-winning vocal director Jennifer Martin.

High Voltage is a select group of EDMT’s most seasoned performers and has provided star quality entertainment throughout the community and beyond. Members range in age from 11 to 20. The group has made several high-profile appearances, including featured performances at Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure, the California State Fair, Sacramento’s Race for the Arts and the Rotunda at the California State Capitol.

High Voltage also received a special invitation to perform last summer for one week aboard Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, The Splendor, on a Mexico sailing.

Tickets may be purchased online at edmt-tickets.com or by calling the EDMT box office at (916) 941-SING. Prices are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and children (12 and younger), including dessert and beverage. Guests may reserve an entire table when purchasing eight tickets at the same time. Prior High Voltage cabaret nights have sold out, Wilson said, so people are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. Plan to arrive 15-30 minutes before show time to be seated. Oak Hills Church is located at 1100 Blue Ravine Road in Folsom.
