2011 BEST OF SHOW: "€œMan With Reflectors" by Kit Austin

“Magnum Opus XXII,” Sacramento Fine Arts Center’s annual open show, runs Aug. 9 through Sept. 3 at the center,  5330 B Gibbons Drive in Carmichael.

Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturday.

“Magnum Opus XXII” is an art show of the regions finest artists showing their finest original art, sculptures, photography, painting and more. it is juried by Kylee Denning, curator of Collections at Stockton’s Haggin Museum. Artists have the opportunity to receive cash and merchandise awards.

A special Second Saturday reception featuring music and refreshments will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 13.
