Silva Valley Elementary School will present “The Wizard of Oz” on Thursday, March 8, at 3 p.m. and Friday, March 9, at 7 p.m.

The production is sponsored by the Silva Valley PTA and is part of an after school theater program directed by Kitty Czarnecki, executive director of Art & Soul Productions.

The show stars 50 children from first through fifth grade. It follows the traditional story of Dorothy and Toto as they travel through the Land of Oz and meet The Scarecrow, The Tin Man and The Lion. The performance is dedicated to Keegan Swinney, a Silva Valley fifth-grader who passed away in January.

Tickets are available at the door and are $5 for adults, $2 for teens and $1 for children younger than 12. All proceeds go to Silva Valley‘s PTA.
