Sutter Street Theatre rocks (and celebrates the golden variety)

Sing and dance along with Sutter Street Theatre’s latest productions. Now showing on the historic Folsom  stage: “Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr.” and “Folsom’s Gold.”

“Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr.,” based on an idea by David McCall and a television series created by George Newall and Tom Yohe, follows Tina — a nerve-wracked school teacher who is nervous about her first day of teaching. She tries to relax by watching TV when various characters representing facets of her personality emerge from the set and show her how to win her students over with imagination and music through such songs as “Just A Bill,” “Interplanet Janet,” “Conjunction Junction” and many more.

The musical’s book is by Scott Ferguson, Kyle Hall and George Keating with music and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, Bob Dorough, Dave Frishberg, Kathy Mandry, George Newall and Tom Yohe.

“Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr.,” is a product of Sutter Street Theatre’s Musical Theatre Master Workshop students and is suitable for all ages.
