Sutter Street’s show simply ‘Marvelous’

“The Marvelous Wonderettes” takes you to the 1958 Springfield High School prom where we meet the Wonderettes — four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinolines!

As we learn about their lives and loves, we are treated to the girls performing classic ’50s and ’60s songs as “Lollipop,” “Dream Lover,” “Stupid Cupid,” “Lipstick on Your Collar,” “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me,” “It’s My Party” and more than 20 other classic hits. “The Marvelous Wonderettes,” opening this week at Sutter Street Theatre, is a must take trip down memory lane.

Cast members are: Jessica Nanoff, Jessica Larrick, Arjana Sanfilippo, Kayla Lardner. The show was written and created by Roger Bean and is directed by Warren Harrison.

“The Marvelous Wonderettes” opens at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, and continues at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays and 4 p.m. Saturdays through Aug. 28. Tickets are $23 general, $21 seniors, $18 students with an ID card and $15 children 12 and younger.
