Attention blues lovers: The blues party of the year returns to El Dorado Hills on Nov. 10.

The Rotary Club of El Dorado Hills presents another line up of world-class musicians at its third annual Blues and Brews concert, benefitting the El Dorado Hills Veterans Memorial.

The memorial will contain custom crafted monuments, a garden, a ceremony area, and the “100 Year Journey” where, along a winding path, visitors will pass exhibits representing 100 years of United States’ conflict history, from World War I through the present day.

Headlining this year is an all-female/ all-star blues revue — The Red Hot Mamas.

Hailing from San Francisco, The Red Hot Mamas features guitarist Nancy Wenstrom who has toured the globe with musicians Chris Isaak, Bob Weir, Huey Lewis, Maria Muldaur and Joe Cocker. Also featured is vocalist Tia Carroll, who is often compared to legendary female singers Tina Turner, Koko Taylor and Aretha Franklin. Carroll has had world tours with legendary blues icons Jimmy McCracklin, Sugar Pie and Brazilian Blues legend Igor Prado. Carroll was awarded West Coast Female Blues vocalist of the year 2007 and Blues Woman of the Year 2008 and Band Leader of the Year in 2009.

Opening the show is The Used Blues Band — 2011 International Blues Competition semi-finalists. The traditional, upbeat harmonica and guitar-driven blues band covers dance blues, Chicago style, swing and more.

Blues and Brews takes place on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the El Dorado Hills Community Services gym, 1021 Harvard Way. Doors open at 7 p.m., show begins at 8. Tickets for this fabulous night are $25.  Seating is general admission and there is plenty of dancing room. Wine, beer and small plates just $5 each. Tickets are available online edhblues.com, or pick them up at El Dorado Hills Fire Station 85, the California Welcome Center at Town Center, from any El Dorado Hills Rotarian or at the door.
