On Saturday, May 21, Julie Jensen’s five determined children — Lola Jensen, 6; Priscilla Jensen, 10; Abi Jensen, 12; McKenna Saxton, 16; and Scott Saxton, 19 —held a “Please Help Our Mom” community yard sale fundraiser to help pay for their mom’s promising stem cell treatment in Panama. The procedure is very expensive and not covered by insurance.

The yard sale was a big success due to the families that let Julie’s children use their front yards for the perfect location, all the wonderful quality items donated by friends and the El Dorado Hills community, and everyone who purchased items and gave donations in support of Julie.

There were lots of homemade signs, hundreds of balloons, bright yellow shirts, pink hats and 50 dozen donuts to make the event fun and cheery.

You can still support Julie’s children in their “Please Help Our Mom” campaign by visiting msmysister.blogspot.com for more information on what is still needed and how you can help. Julie, her husband and their five children reside in El Dorado Hills. A special thanks to the El Dorado Hills Fire Department for its generosity and support for Julie.
