Vote early beginning Monday
The Registrar of Voters will offer early voting beginning Oct. 8 — the first day voters may cast a ballot in the Nov. 6 Consolidated General Election. Vote by mail ballots will be mailed to voters on Oct. 9.
Early voting will be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Elections Department located at 2850 Fairlane Court in Placerville and at the Recorder-Clerks Office at 3368 Lake Tahoe Blvd., Suite 108, South Lake Tahoe. The South Lake Tahoe office is closed daily from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch.
Each person desiring to cast a ballot during early voting must be a registered voter in El Dorado County. Oct. 22 is the deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 6 election. Re-registration is required to change the address or surname of a voter and is recommended if the voter’s signature has changed since their original voter registration card was submitted.
