9/11 memorialized on “The Rocks”
Local firefighters painted El Dorado Hills’ signature rock to commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
The terrorists’ attacks killed 343 firefighters and paramedics, along with 37 Port Authority officers and 23 police officers. All told, 2,819 people died in New York, Washington, D.C., and in a Pennsylvania field.
Rolling Hills Christian Church invites the public to a 9/11 memorial on Sunday. The church at 800 White Rock Road in El Dorado Hills will host two, one-hour services on Sept. 11 at 9:30 and 11 a.m.

Sad to see that someone painted over part of the flag on the rock. The artists worked hard on that and someone could not appreciate what it meant to them.
