Applications now available for Design Review Committee seats
The El Dorado Hills Community Services District is accepting applications for one regular and two alternate members on the Design Review Committee for consideration by the district’s Board of Directors.
The DRC consists of five regular members and several alternate members appointed to two-year terms of office and currently meets every Tuesday at 8 a.m. in the district’s Parks Building, 1030 St. Andrews Drive.
The Design Review Committee reviews and approves proposals for property improvements on approximately 70 percent of the lots in El Dorado Hills governed by the Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions recorded on each parcel. This review process helps assure that the property improvement standards established by the original developer and accepted by each homeowner at time of purchase are consistently observed and maintained.
Although the CC&R requirements for each village can vary, this committee must screen virtually any exterior improvement. Improvements can include new homes, room additions, landscaping, exterior paint colors, roofing, fencing, storage sheds, decks, patio covers, solar, etc.
Applications for appointment to the DRC may be obtained at the district’s Administrative Office, 1021 Harvard Way, or on the website at edhcsd.org. To qualify, members must be residents of El Dorado Hills and/or own property within the community services district boundaries.
