Biting dog sought — DOG FOUND
Bite occurred Dec. 10 in El Dorado Hills
El Dorado County Animal Services is searching for the owner of a dog that bit a child at approximately 7 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 10, while the child was walking near Village Center Drive toward Francisco Drive in El Dorado Hills.
Animal Services officers have been following up on leads since the bite was reported but have been unsuccessful in finding the dog.
The dog involved in the bite is described as a light grey, husky-type breed with upright ears. The dog was being walked by a woman, but was not on a leash.
The child sustained minor injuries. However, Animal Services would like to speak to the owner of the dog to verify that the dog is current on its rabies vaccinations so that the child does not have to have post-exposure rabies treatments.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Animal Services at (530) 621-5795.
