Blue Oak students spell s-u-c-c-e-s-s

Having the best spelling command of words like g-r-u-e-s-o-m-e, b-o-u-q-u-e-t and n-o-u-r-i-s-h earned Blue Oak Elementary’s team of third and fourth graders the top spot in the 32nd annual El Dorado County Spelling Bee held in Pollock Pines on Friday.

Also on the podium out of 20 participating schools were Jackson Elementary in second place and Lakeview Elementary in third. Oak Meadow and Lake Forest Elementary tied for fourth place.
